Efforts to build a Quantum Internet are underway in Europe, Japan, UK, US and China. Led by Cape Town's Quantum Computing Institute, Africa is now joining the effort. African Quantum Internet Alliance (AQIA) is an alliance with the ambition to build local quantum networks with future connectivity to a global Quantum Internet.
